yes i know i need to work on mu guard fitup and the mirror finish could be better but all in all im not unhappy with the knife

Butch,

The biggest thing that I see that could really use some work is the contouring of the handle.....yours does not have much sculpting at all.

If you get a chance to handle some Loveless, Lovett, Buchanan or Vestal knives, you will get a feel for what I am talking about.

In a nutshell, what makes a Loveless knife feel so good in the hand is the way the palm area is countoured, and then the area for the last two fingers sweeps in like an hourglass, and flares out at the butt. This allows for comfort and handle retention.

Let's start with that, and move forward.

It's a handsome knife.

I like it. I couldn't care less, if it's not a clone of an actual Loveless. It's one heck of a nice Loveless "style" knife, Butch.

after looking at a few of his knives in pictures that are slightly different then normal angles i can see how you mean about the contouring

thank you

doing the knife in this style but in a different construction then i normaly do was fun and it keeps me pushing todo different things in knives

Is this the one you showed me at Ashokan? I thought you did a really good job in your execution of that one - particularly in light of the fact that it was something of a departure for you.

Roger it is the same one you saw and i had fun making it (kind of )
like all new things its a bit stressful till you get the hang of things
