lol, well I have this house closer to town (where we live and the Skunks) and a house way out in the Country. Out in the Country we do have Deer and the occasional Brown Bear and other assorted wildlife that show up. il have to take pics of that.

and my Wife loved the comment!
Thanks.

Yeah when used to live in the woods the dogs would constantly get sprayed by skunks and get a mouth full of porcupine quite often. Not very fun to deal with either situation. Lots of black bear around here too. they"ll eat anything left outside.Eat out of dog dishes. Seen them up close once to many times when they just pop up out of nowhere. Their basically harmless to people though but had bears tear apart rabbits inside of their cages and stuff before.

years ago my Mom had rabbits when we lived out in the country and Wolves tore apart the rabbit cages and well, you know what happened there.

but I guess that's part of life for an animal.

You was in Ok. and had wolves? Or somewhere else. I've never heard of wolves in Oklahoma before.

If she's determined to feed outside cats tell her to feed them at a specific time, preferably in the daylight hours, this'll keep the night critters from coming back for food, raccoons, opossum and skunks will chase away the feral cats. If she feeds them during the day and doesn't leave food hanging out , she needs to pick it up before sunset and put it back in the daylight hours otherwise the wild animal population looking for a free easy meal will increase quickly and free food brings bigger and bigger wildlife. Just my 2¢ worth it took me 2 years to stop the raccoons and opossum from coming around and even after they would raid my garbage cans.

I'm okay with skunks they can be an asset. They come around and clean out the dead mice from the traps outside where mice come in and control rodents and insects. When we have a tame skunk I train it to clean up kitchen scraps that would otherwise pose an odor problem as we have no dump or garbage pick up around here. I would place the dinner plate in the same spot at dusk and like clockwork he would come around and clean up. The skunks come and go and don't usually stay for any great length of time, not sure if they move on or get eaten by other predators. I don't mind at all when the skunk stinks up the neighbor's useless nuisance dogs that come around to use our driveway as a toilet.
