Having to travel this weekend for work. Usually check bags so I can bring an EDC but had need for speed so didn't check bags. As such no knife. Not even out of airport and already feel weird.

Pick up a an economy knife when you get to where you are going.

That is a bad feeling. You'll probably need a knife now more than ever because you don't have one That's always the way it goes.

I feel your pain. Had to travel to Philadelphia for two days this week. Only carry-on. I think Philly is the most anti-knife city in this country. Almost impossible to find as simple as a utility knife at any of the the stores near where I had to be. Made me feel very unprepared and dependent on others, a position that is not natural for me. I did have my regular PSK/BOB supplies minus the sharps so I wasn't totally unprepared but not as prepared as I would have liked.
