Well the semester has come to a close, all my finals have been marked, graded and submitted to the department. Nothing left to do but relax, wait for Christmas, cut a lot of firewood for the season and play with the kids. Feels good, one of the great benefits of teaching is the large breaks. There is next semester to think about but course prep can wait at least a week or so and I think I'm going o let it. Of course it leaves a lot of time for searching the forum here and I'm playing around with a few design ideas, so far thy all look like JK knives already out there even though I don't have them in mind when I start out. If nothing else playing at this has taught e a lot about why some knives have bee designed the way they have been.

Merry Christmas everyone

thanks all! Just gave the baby and dogs a bath (not at the same time though) which is it's own kind of excitement, might seem like a strange thing to do for fun but it's nice to have the time in the middle of the day like this.

I teach anthropology and history, mostly I combined in class called "The Anthropology of Human society," it's a lot of fun and I'm lucky enough to have had great studets, which makes it even better. I also write freelance, and whatever I can find during the summer. But for now, it's holiday time. :D

What kind of freelance writing do you do?

Hi KYe -

We have our tree up and a bunch of presents wrapped. It's beginning to look a lot like the most expensive holiday lol.

I love the smell of the fresh scotch pine in the living room though, and I'll be making my late grandmother's recipe for russian tea for the family - it always reminds us of being at her house for the holidays.

Tomorrow my son, son in law, father and myself will be heading to Chicago for our traditional Christmas Bears Game - I get the tickets and take them all up as their gift from me - and it gives us some "guy time" each year. Normally we would be going next weekend, but the game is on Christmas day this year and I would not do that.

I have a new grandson for his first Christmas, so this one will be even more special.

Merry Christmas!

best regards -

non-fiction/ghost writing and mostly web content, i try to write mystery and general fiction as well but mostly unsuccessfully, ;D. My wife freelances full time and I mostly help her out with a big job. There is a freelancer website we pay a membership fee to and bid on jobs.

mqqn: sound like a great time, Russian tea
