liked that blade since i saw it. shoulda looked for a proxy!

The vex is one of my favorite EDC sized blades. Lots of usable edge in a very small package.

I have mine back- with pants.

I think my configuration is currently unique. I have it in one of Dwayne Puckett's BADASS sheaths. Red G10 scales, tan leather- looks nice. It also feels nice, has good retention, is quiet (unlike draw or insertion with kydex) to not scare sheeple and can easily slip into a pocket.

Yes I live in NJ and I'd like to be able to EDC this. No pictures right now, and no time for any for a couple of days. Plus there's the issue of my photography skills (or lack).

I'm sorry :p :p :D

Sounds like some awesome pants. I dig the compact package of the kydex I'm using for my vex, but have some rainwalker leather in the works too. Looking forward to getting that.

One of the few blades I regret not getting. . . but I've got a pile of blades of similar size. Maybe if I was a meatcutter or a fishmonger or something. I just can never use all of my small utility blades unless I wore them on my belt and rotated daily.

I'm enjoying this knife. Hat treats pretty good too- just before I sent it off for pants, I thought something might not be quite right. When it came back, I confirmed that the edge was rolled a very small amount- felt like a burr. (Just a bit of cutting on Corellewear, apparently...)

No chipping, which was nice. Stropping brought it right back.

Only problem is I'm busy enough that 15-20 minutes of careful stropping took 2 days. But now it shaves again.

Edit: It's OK as a push-cutter (it'll shave my leg hair, but it's not hair-popping sharp) but as a slicer? Oh, goodness. I was taking out the newspaper recycling yesterday, and for fun I tried slicing some newspaper. Not sheets, sections. It sliced through entire sections of the WSJ as smoothly, easily and with as little effort as other knives slice through individual sheets.

Now that a bit more time has passed, I'll follow up my own post. This knife is amazing. All I do is strop it after every use, and it's still getting sharper.

The last time I used it was to slice a bunch of ~5x11 pieces of cardstock (coupons from LubeXpress and Linens&Things, that sort of thing) into tiny slivers. Oh, that was fun. And afterward I just stropped.

And now the knife that just barely shaved when I got it, that didn't quite shave after I abused it, now shaves easily and is very nearly hair-popping sharp. I don't test my knives on armhair anymore, after some unfortunate incidents and my wife making snide comments about mange.... but thanks to the Vex I'm starting to run low on leg hair. :)

You're from Jersey? I'm from Jersey. Lets see some pics man! I love my Vex. Steelnut is making me some pants too. I'm piggybacking mine to a DDog Father.

Nice pics, congrats on your blade. Not my cup of tea but I am glad people are enjoying theirs.
