I have been eyeing the forum here for quite some time but finally made an account the other day. I come from really enjoying (still do to a degree) the world of tactical folders. I was a Marine 0331 and had an Emerson SOCFK see me through multiple deployments to Afg. When I got home I decided to spend a few more dollars on some of the more current Ti framelocks and they treated me well for quite some time. After talking with a few buddies, however, I decided to try a traditional slipjoint. It has all been downhil from there. In the past few months I have gathered the start to a collection. I have picked up a GEC 47(2), 48, 81, 15, 09, 71, 68, 85, and a Northwoods Fremont Jack. I dont know what it is for all of you but there is something nostalgic for me knowing that my Grandpa carried one of these every day and it was plenty for him and what he needed to do.
I just wanted to drop in and say hello. And say that i think, from what ive seen, you guys in this Traditionals part of the forum seem like some very well versed guys who are willing to help out when you can. Thank you!
