Hey everyone. This is my first real post here in this forum besides the occasional photo or two.

When I was a boy, my first knives were old slip joints given to me by my grandfathers and my dad. Since then I've gotten in to other types of knives but have finally 'made it home' with traditionals. I have been lurking here in the traditional forum for some time now, reading and learning, and it sure feels like a great place to be. Tons and tons of knowledge and great stories. Because of this I started carrying and using some of my old knives. It brings back great memories and I don't see that changing anytime soon. I just got a Charlow in the mail today and it's not leaving my pocket. ;)

Thanks for listening to my ramblings! Just wanted to say 'hi' and that it sure feels like home!

-Hugh

Welcome Hugh...no better place on the forum then here. Oh I venture out from time to time but I always know where HOME is:D

Welcome! Glad to hear you've returned to your first love. These knives have whats sort of a magic to them, they hearken us back to another time. They're beautiful and very functional in day to day life.

Nice Barlow!

Welcome, Hugh! It's great to have you. I don't post as much real stuff as I should, but I've learned a ton from these folks. You're right, this place does feel like home. Nice way to put it.

Welcome aboard Hugh and may I say what a nice way to introduce yourself.
cheers.

Hello Hugh, I'm glad to see you've made it home. This is the best place to dwell online without a doubt.

Good to see you, Hugh! You'd be hard pressed to find a better place to hang out and talk traditionals. Careful, I hear that Charlows are a "gateway" knife.

Welcome Hugh!

Take a seat and listen to the stories of the High Muckbha (aka jackknife himself) - have a pipe and some beer! :)

A great bunch of gentlemen is this subforum here!

Welcome to the front porch, Hugh!

There's a pot of coffee on the stove, and a bottle of something stronger under the counter. Help yourself, and pull up a chair. It's always a happy occasion when a stray brother comes home.

Carl.
