I am about to start my test of the theory that the CRK small insingo is "The worlds greatest EDC pocket knife". Already I am concerned those who say that might actually be right, which causes me to question all of my knife purchases leading up to this point! :D. Why didn't I listen? She's gonna be a user, so I thought I'd snap some glamour shots before the snail-trails appear, and the Micarta turns black. This is also my first CRK with a blue stud and backspacer. I know the colour wears off, but that's fine. It'll be worth it for having a chance to behold this knife in it's prime. The mix of blue and grey is just truly beautiful. As beautiful as something so inherently purposeful and useful could possible be. The kind of beauty only a knife lover might understand, but it's there in spades. The knife weighs nothing, and disappears in pocket. It might be a long honeymoon with this one!!

Beautiful knife and beautiful pictures. The only improvement you need on that knife is double lugs. Haha... Just setting up the temptation. Use it away! :)

Thanks Biggerjon!

Against popular opinion, I am a single-lug guy. I really love the detail that goes into the back of the lug. I know the doubles add symmetry and bling, but that little cone in the center of the back of the single studs.....how did they machine that?...Anyways simple pleasures for simple minds when it comes to me I suppose ;)

Very nice photos kidcongo! I always liked the looks of the small micarta insingos.

Once again, great pics. You know, after you break the knife in, use and abuse it, it can be sent back to look like new. I think micarta is the only inlay, CRK will blast.
I'm kinda partial to the double lug look also, mainly because I'm a lefty.

Awesome shots as always Cody, and the knife looks great! Should make for an excellent addition to your rotation.

Truly beautiful shots. I'm jealous. I sold my small insingo back in August and have regretted it every day since. The fine folks at Blade HQ are shipping me a new one now. Small plain insingo. I fawned over the micarta that my buddy has, I just decided that I want the wear and simplistic beauty of the plain handle. Looks like you've got a lifelong friend there bud.

LOVE INSINGOS! I have a trio of them (large and small plain, small micarta).. slice so nicely.... My small plain is my daily carry, the large is in my pocket on weekends.. Enjoy that beauty.. The blue stud really pops out with the inlaid handle

IMO, the small is much more used than the large.

As for blade shape, it depends on user. I'm a chef so I can exploit any blade shape for its benefit. I don't own an insingo, but as for the flatness of the blade, it does make it easier for certain tasks, but a user should be able to exploit any blade shape unless detrimental for specific tasks.

Congrats on a beautiful knife! My small and large Insingos see more carry than any others in my collection. The blade shape utility is fabulous. Now you have me jonesing for a micarta Insingo!

Awesome blade and pics. I was debating between the Insingo plain, micarta and cf versions. Ended up with the KA CF but I'm loving the Insingo blade shape so much I might have to pick up the other two sooner or later! :)

And I'm with you 100% on the single lug vs double. Single just looks better in my opinion.

Congrats!

:confused:I have a Small Micarta Insingo and the stud and spacer are not anno'd. Of course it's fine.
Another change of policy?

Plain Jane Sebenzas come with either blue anno'd studs and spacers, or in silver. The wooden inlay Sebenzas usually come with gold and sometimes silver anno'd studs and spacers.

For a small fee, you can send your small micrata insingo to CRK and they can switch out the silver stud and spacer for blue ones if you prefer them over the silver ones.

I have purposefully bought the silver ones over my collection as they do not show wear. My tastes change, and I am starting to like the personal touch that the worn blue stud give the knife. If you like them to stay perfect, the silver is a better choice. I also have a Tamboti 21 with gold studs, and as they have worn there is no real noticeable or obvious change in colour. They start out sort of bronzy gold, and fade to silver in such a way you don't notice.

TNK is good for stocking the same model in both single/double and blue/silver, as long as you only want Plain Jane, or Micarta. TNK seems focus on those models.

Cody, Jon, I just pulled the trigger on the last one of these at TNK. Sold my Small Micarta to fund it, but this is the knife I was originally after when I acquired that one. Single blue stud as well.

Awesome Harris. It's great. Living up to all expectations. Just really purposeful and useful, lightweight, and cool to play with........and all the things an EDC should be. Takes some courage to throw it in pocket......ouch!!!! Just gotta get over that first scratch......

I'm used to plain Jane's/anodized plain janes so the scratches/snail trails are alright by me! Glad you like yours. I'm sure I will love it, I generally like wharnecliffe blades and the little details of the Insingo look so nice. Something about the swedge and how it crosses out into an "x". I'll be sure to post pictures Monday when it comes in, after a new lanyard and maybe a different edge depending on how the stock one is. Fingers crossed for a thin factory mirror like yours!

Beautiful pics! I have the same knife except with at silver stud/spacer. I still have to give it carry time though...
