Greetings,

I´m considering to buy a Fehrman Bloodmonn and now
i just want to ask, if someone has outdoor experiences with this knife and can tell something about chopping and batoning and how it does its job.

Thanks for answers and best wishes from germany
Dan

I don't think the bloodmoon would make a gr8 chopper, I have 2 Extreme judgment and they work well!

OP, all you have to do is ask Fehrman themselves. They will tell you that the Bloodmoon is not intended as an "outdoor" knife. They are very honest and frank about the intended design of their knives.

What he said.

Bloodmoon does not equal outdoor knife. However, Extreme Judgement equals a kicka$$ outdoor/multifunctional knife!!

Eric will be the first to head you off at the pass: this knife is more of an 'artistic statement' than a tool for the wilds. I would assume it would be more at home behind a lexan display case. Why not take a look at the other knives they offer?

In my opinion the Final Judgement is a bit to straight and the Extreme Judgement looks a bit unproportional : /
Overall the Final looks better than the Extreme, but i think the Extreme is the better Outdoorknife especially for Chopping.

Another thing which is interesting me, how rust resistent are Fehrman knives?
Does the CG and satin finish a good job for avoiding rust?
I never owned a 3V knife, i heard its not that rust resisten but maybe Fehrman does an awesome job for avoiding it?

Thanks for your answers and a good evening
Dan

Take reasonable care of 3V and it will do fine.
I used mine in Alaska for years and never had a speck of rust.
