Does anyone own one of these, been looking for info on it but there seems to be none. Thinking of getting one !!

thanks for the reply mate, I've looked on their site and already own a couple of Fehrman knives. I'm wondering if anyone has one they would sell or know of anyone who will !!

I haven't seen anyone talk about the Hood hunter, but there have been posts regarding the Final Judgment. Hear a lot of good things.

I had the extreme judgement (recruve is a pain to re-sharpen) and first strike (blade tip is too tantoish) and have the shadow scout (my favourite 6 inch knife). Very good steel, hard as nails and the hood is my grail knife !! Someone must have one, if you buy a 10 inch from Fehrman you're looking at serials of 33+. 8 inches must have been a similar quantity run so there mst be 30 or so out there !!

my quest is to find one and then get him to part with it !!

I've got a 10" HH #34. I was told there aren't many left.I am going to keep mine.

Since you have a Fehrman there isn't much I can tell you about the steel that you don't already know.If you are going to order one better act now.

I'm not very savy on pictures, don't even have a digital camera, and I'm on dial up.I'll ask my daughter if she can help me post some in a couple days when she gets back from a trip.

I've chopped some with it.I've cut a pine tree about the size of a 2 liter coke bottle and some smaller cottonwood.I couldn't tell any difference on the edge shaving ability after chopping through thoes.A few days later I chopped through about 5 pieces of very hard seasoned Hickory. The Hickory was about 6 inches thick. There was no edge deformation at all and it would still scrape hairs from my arm but it needed sharpening.

I got it because I wanted a large survival type blade that was very tough but still had a good point and better fighting balance than your average sharpened crowbar.I like it fine so far and if you like big blades you probably will too.

If I had wanted to be practical with a smaller blade and saw or hatchet I could have saved some money but that wasn't what I wanted.

did you get the satin or coated ? If you could sort pics that would be awesome.

Thanks for reply !!

thanks jay! I've found all info online but there are very pics and none for sale!

due to lack of available info and concerns about rust (disassembled my shadow scout only to find very bad rust - brought a tear to my eye) I stuck with INFI and got a huge chopper. Nuclear Meltdown Fusion Battle Mistress !!
