Fehrman knives?

after doing some research i want to hear some more recent opinions on Fehrman knives more specifically the Thru hiker and the stort stop
how do they stack up against other companies like busse/busse kin and strider's fixed blades and such

Fehrman's are outstanding knives, I love 3V and would rank it up there with the best knife steels out there. The only negative I will say (if it is) is that they raised their prices in the past couple years, I had quite a few and ended up having to sell them off due to bills but now to replace them the cost is a lot higher. Eric is a great guy to deal with, fit and finish is outstanding, if price doesn't bother you then by all means try one out.
