edited because I mystyped a slew of numbers...

As you know Eric, I like your knives very much. I prefer the satin finished blades. I just think they have a nicer look.

Keith,

Glad you like em'

Just for looks - I like a satin finished knife too. For functionality I prefer the black crinkle coat - its extremely tough and does a great job of protecting the blade.

I forgot to post pictures of our 4" knife... the Peace Maker ;-)

Any more designs in the future? Keep up the good work and thanks for overlooking the negativity. I hope to have the money for that 4'er in the near future.

Cerberus.

Cerberus,

Thanks. We are still just getting off the ground now so we are trying to focus on our 4 "standard" blades BUT I'm an engineer by trade and I already have tons of "someday/maybe" designs.

Once we are a little more established I plan to pursue some of our other designs, plus some custom stuff, plus some "unusual" ideas.

The current plan is to finish the year with our current designs and offer some new things early next year... not that I don't have some oddball stuff on the bench right now...

Thanks again,
Eric Fehrman

F3V is the combination of CPM3V and our own "involved" heat treat process. We pre-treat, manufacture the knife, post-treat, heat treat, then begin a multi-day tempering process. This combined with a manufacturing process that never adds stress or excess heat to the blade are part of the recipe that makes up F3V!

Those are really nice, I wish I could make a knife like that!!! Ok, hell I will dettle for owning a knife like that :D

Yes, our knives are for sale right now. So far we are staying on top of current orders, we should be able to ship any order in 2-3 weeks (unless we get *really* swamped!)

I've visited your WebSite more than once trying to decide which I like better, the Last Chance or the Peace Maker. Both great Looking knives Eric.

What kind of Grind do you normally use? Also, can a customer request a specific grind, such as Convex?

Finally, do you have any pictures of your sheaths, or one of the knives in the Sheath?

Thanks in advance.
Vince

Glad you like em'... alot of people are interested in those two sizes.

We use a flat grind along the straight edge of the knife, and a 3D or contoured grind on the tip... the tip is thicker to increase strength.

Right now we really only have plans to produce our "standard" grind, but later next year we are going to do more custom work.

I have noticed on your site that the Peace Maker looks to have a slightly longer blade than in earlier pictures that I have seen. Am I imagining this?

Keith,

No you're not imagining things! The Peace Maker was a 3.5 inch blade but we had alot of customer and "tester" feedback on this knife wanting a bit more size. We increased the blade length and the handle length by 1/2 inch. The result is a much more comfortable and useful knife... everyone really seems to like the new version.

Teaser: Keep an eye out for our new 6 inch tactical/fighting knife!

Hello to the community, hello Eric,

i hope the knife survived the heat treatment and starts soon on the way to Germany.
But take all the time you need to get it nice and tough.

Greetings to all from Germany
Pascal

P.S.:
