I discovered that company not too long ago and I'm thinking about getting one of the 9.5 '' choppers.
Does any one have any positive or negative info on these knives ?
Thanks

Best heavy-duty knives you can ever buy in CPM-3V, period. Go for it, any model. There is no such thing as a bad Fehrman knife. Ferhmans are basically custom-made knives at production costs, and the customer service and warranty is excellent.

Here are the one's I had, sold the Last Chance and First Strike. They are definitely very well made knives and come extremely sharp from Fehrman. I also have a Peace Maker andit is a awesome blade as well.

dont seem like production prices anymore :)

my final judgment has chopped for over a year & i am truly amazed at the edge durability.really the price is'nt high for a knife that will last a lifetime...i've heard eric's heattreat takes as long as 3 days, but have no hard evidence to support that fact.-----dennis

Fehrman makes fantastic knives. They are one of the best users of 3V.

Dennis is correct, they do indeed use over 72 hours to HT. However, when you consider that the company is primarily a tool and die maker, the knowledge base and attention to detail makes sense.

The prices on their knives have risen recently. The reason why is that the prices of 3V has risen drastically. They were indeed a bargain before this happened. However, their prices are not out of line for what you get now. They are excellent knives.

Yup....I bought a couple of .220 billets of 3V not too long ago big enough for bowies and paid about $120 each. Fehrman has always turned out a nice knife.

I have a FS and i think its a great knife. i ordered a package deal and i got a Thru Hiker as well, which i must say is a great small knife as well. ordering the packages from Fehrman saves you a little bit of money, but i would consider it. Eric is great to deal with too.

Great knives and customer service. I own four of their blades (Final Judgement, Peace maker, Thru Hiker, and First Strike).

Only issue I have with them now is their prices. Other than that you can't go wrong them a Fehrman.

The materials and heat treat process are no doubt fantastic, based on what I heard. Personally, I am no fan of the designs. It's too bad, because I would like to own one.

I think they should stop resting on their laurels and come out with some new models.

I've never owned or used one, but I've heard a lot about them over the last few years. Not one thing I've heard was negative.

If you buy one, I'm quite confident it will do very well for you and you'll be happy with it.
