I have seen a few Fehrman knives for sale and was curious to know a little more about them and if anyone has done any reviews. They look like nice beefy blades that can take a beating. Are they customs, semi-custom or production. Anyone now about the history of them??
Pictures and models with spec's would be nice!!
Thanks
Sorry if this needs to be moved, please feel free to do so.

Most of that info should be on their website, just google Fehrman knives and it should be the on the first page, they seem to be semi-custom I guess, kinda like Bark River or Busse. They have their set models they sell, but from a smaller shop and lots of the work is done by hand. They use CPM-3V steel, one of my favorite hard use fixed blade steels because of its edge holding and toughness. I'd put them up there with Busse as far as toughness and steel (from what I've read (don't have any INFI myself) 3V and INFI are very close in most aspects).

You won't be disappointed with them. I have or had most models and all perform exceptionally.

I;ve got Peace Maker and Thru Hiker. Peace Maker is my favorite hard-use mid-sized fixed blade (compare to ESEE-4 BRKT Fox River and RMD). It holds an edge extremely well and is pretty tough. Eric uses its own HT protocol and CPM-3V steel used for his knives is often called CPM-3F. Thru Hiker is not my favorite EDC fixed blade only because it's too heavy for me to have it daily on hand. You definitely will not go wrong with any of Fehrman models.

Thanks guys!! I checked out there website, their knives all look really sweet. I think I might have to look for one!!!

I love Fehrman Knives! They are my absolute favorite outdoor knives. My outdoor combo is a 10" Hoodhunter and a Peacemaker... I got Luke Swenson to make me some custom leather pants for them and they look absolutely amazing.

Honestly, these are the best knives I have ever owned for outdoor use. The Hoodhunter is sooo light and quick, but it is an amazing chopper for the weight. Unfortunately it is no longer available. The Final Judgement that they offer is also exceptional! The ergonomics are what really shine about these knives. They fit the hand so well, and the way they build them, the shock transfer is greatly reduced.

The peacemaker holds an edge, and is so comfortable to hold. It works great as both a woodworking/carving knife, and a skinner. I also love the firebow bearing in the handle. I have actually used it a fair number of times now. Its safe to say that I love Fehrman knives. I wish they made a folder, and maybe a few other designs, but what they do offer I love.

You will not go wrong buying a Fehrman knife. It is a tank.

As for the CMP 3F... they actually called it CPM F3V because they have a unique heat treating protocol that really takes regular (and already amazing) 3V to a whole new level. I dont think they use this term anymore, but there steel is still top notch.

Cheers!

The_Guide, thanks for correcting me - definitely CPM F3V, I just mixed up letters and figures :(

Ok, you guys need to stop. I'm already broke! I have been eyeballing a Final Judgement for a year. Damn, I am about to pull the trigger on this knife. My wallet if gonna hate me! NEED TO SHUT DOWN COMPUTER BEFORE IT'S TOO LATE!
