Picked up one of these babies, but I'm really not very fond of skellies.

Phil B was kind enough to add some orange G10 scales.

Now THIS is a working knife!

And no getting lost when dropped!

Phil Bruckerhoff, aka "ferrrk" is a well-known knife modder.

He does pretty much any kind of knife modding work -- I have an Emerson CQC-8 converted to a framelock, and a CQC-7 converted to a thick-liner CQC-6.

His work is pretty amazing.

I'll send you a PM.

Fehrman compared to other well-known "hard use" knives in the 3.0" EDC category.

From top to bottom:
Strider DB (0.25" ATS-34)
Busse Game Warden (0.200" INFI)
Fehrman Thru Hiker (with custom scales) (0.200" CPM-3V)

I like that a lot!! I am with you on the skeleton handle thing too. I LOVE that with orange G-10! That is sweeeet!! CONGRATS!

In my opinion, any knife that has a bare metal handle will never be as comfortable as one with slabs. If the material of the handle area is of the same consistancy as the blade, the knife will in time cut the user. Wet hands, blood etc all add to having an accident.
What do you think ?
