So to speak.
I guess nobody here saw the Reinhardt Kukri on eBay, that ended with a single bid of $125. I found it a few days ago - was watching. Waiting. I had the auction up on my tablet, with under 17 minutes left....and I fell asleep. <censored> I woke up about an hour after it ended, and knew before I even looked at that clock that I blew it.
Guess it just wasn't meant to be.

You know the old saying - you snooze, you lose!

Someone else has been watching that listing from the second it was posted… pix to come in about 5 days… :)
 
You might still have won if I had stayed awake...but it would have been a more expensive victory, lol.
Congrats on the score!
 
That sucks. I couldn't believe nobody bid on the Cam BK2 I just purchased. I got it for $75.

I saw that one too. Was going to go for it but figured i want a new one more. Hopefully soon. Dubz what cam 2 are you talking about? There was a real nice satin finish bk2sg on the bay not too long ago. Not a hhge fan of the serrations so i passed on it. I will probably end up regretting it but also value my marriage. Ha..
 
There have been a few Camillus BK2s up recently, mostly for decent prices, too. The ones that are high just sit there; and there have been a few of those recently, as well.
There's a Brute that went up recently...but, starting at $310, I'm absolutely not interested. Too much other stuff I can do with that money right now (my inclination to spend has pretty much dried up...there are still things I want, just not enough to open my wallet)
 
Had to go see how I missed even SEEING the auction, had to do a search on sold kukris to find it.

The auction title was obscure in many ways

"BK&T Reinhardt Kukri w/ sheath, used"

No "Becker", "Blackjack" "RBK" or any of my usual search terms. I NEVER put in the "&" in a search. :o
My usual searches don't normally include "BK&T" or "Reinhardt", so that's how it got passed me. :(

Have to add more terms to my list. :D

A good list of search terms is key! I picked up a camillus bk4 on saturday for $66 because it was listed only as "BKT machax large utility knife" the deals are out there you just to find them. there was a camillus bk2cg that went for $45 that I'm still mad at my self for not grabbing.

Ive been looking at that brute as well but that kind of money is just not worth any knife to me…

If you're looking for a Reinhardt kukri, how can you not search Reinhardt kukri?
Maybe it's because I don't have a lot of stuff set up on auto. When I'm actively looking, I search the terms I think will work...when I'm not, I miss everything because I rarely go just to check. Even entering things manually, I can run all my searches and be gone in minutes unless I feel like browsing.

I wouldn't go that far - I've paid that, and more, for knives....it's just that that particular one isn't worth that to me. I'd sooner email MBB, and get the M19. Now THAT's a brute

I don't do automatic searches. I enter any search in manually. Didn't know you could do auto-searches in ebay. must be some special bot program. Reinhardt wasn't popping into my head when I was searching for some reason, probably because Blackjack has been in every one offered in the last 6 months, until this one. Of the 6 available since December, this is the only one that did not have "Blackjack" in the title.
 
I had a couple of searches saved...but was getting so many emails notifying me of irrelevant stuff that I deleted them.
My feeling was that searching Blackjack, or even Blackjack kukri, pulled up too many items. I was only interested in the Reinhardt kukri, so that's what I went with.
Sometimes it's a game - instead of Blackjack Becker, you have to do Blackjack BK...or Blackjack Campanion. I've seen that recently with Camillus offerings - no mention of Becker or BK; so you've got to hit the right model: Camillus combat utility, Camillus magnum camp, etc

I see these and other 'rare' items from time to time but don't want to bid against fellow BH's that I know want it more than I really do.

Months ago, I got my Cam5 as the only bidder cuz it was just listed as a "Magnum Camp knife".

magnum camp knife is the proper name :D

now, if you guys get a chance to get a Seki City Blackjack Reinhardt, sell your souls, children, and spare parts for one :D

The last one (before this one) was a Seki City...I was willing to ride the bid up a good way; but somebody snatched it with BIN.
