Must’ve hit a couple rocks here where the tip played in the dirt
I think the branch is from a Locust tree. Started on a knot in tip area where dings are to see if that’s what caused it, but didn’t get anymore edge damage after.
Did some more chopping but didn’t take more pics

Some take aways.
Fit and finish are exactly how Hunter described although there was a very slight burr on the blade edge.
Regarding fit and finish, the fullers edges are not beveled so they do catch on what you’re cutting. Spine, choil, and guard is not either. The tang is proud on top, but barely and holes in scales are edgy. That’s what callouses and gloves are for
I was not expecting anything more and not complaining in regards to the fit and finish, just wanted to share my observations.
Aside from edge damage on tip, the rest of the blade is fine.
This is a lot of knife for the money and finally have the machete I’ve been looking for.

Locust is super Hard ...a fellow BF'r gave me a box of it for a future project.
