I needed a knife for some work around the house. Instead of my traditional Case I grabbed my Military. I haven't used this knife in 8 years. It cut copper mesh, lots of Bird of Paradise, plastic wrap, garden hose, tape, and some weeds. It performed admirably. The edge retention is very good. I am now considering carrying this knife again. Maybe there is room for both in my pocket.

That does sound like a good combo.

When first getting into knives not going to lie I thought Spydercos were ugly and did not understand why anyone would buy one but they must have grown on me because now I gotta have me some holes and humps on my blades

Same here. I hated the thumbhole, wide blade, odd looking handle.

I love the thumbhole, wide blade, choke grip (?) for precise cuts, crossbar style lock, 3rd party accessories

The Manix is the only knife one that does everything I need.
