Has Rick ever made these in a custom color or has anyone had theirs changed? I've either missed these or for some reason (tolerances?) they aren't customized like other parts of this knife?

Just curious since would like to see these if are out there.

WF only seen a member who is also a "Friend of the Ranch" do that, little tough to fish them out of the tumbler, Anodized.... Yes on a Custom (I have posted pics)
Other than that........

Female screws? You mean nuts? If so, they are stainless and not titanium, I don't think they have ever done those in titanium (which is what they anodize).

Hey.... this is a Family channel :) lets keep it clean.

Gender aside, This side can be ano'd

Well if they are called nuts then yes, the nuts lol. I've just never seen any custom colored nuts.

Yes but the nut even though it's milled by Hinderer has a specific name for style and principle in which it works.

Like lock nut, tang nut, hidden nut, etc... What type of nut would this be classified as? I know it's chemical properties and aren't really going to get any better than what it is but just curious as to its style classification.

I believe it is called a round slotted nut used for flush applications, the longer ones are called castle nuts and a cotter pin is used to lock it in place.

Standoff are what's in the middle. Sometimes they have scale screws that screw into them. However on the Hinderers that have a female nut that goes in threw the titanium frame, through the standoffs, and partially through the titanium scale on the opposite side. The pivot is the same thing. Except the female nut is open ended and blade is the spacer instead of a standoff.

I just got my first personal hinderer and all my female nuts, standoffs, pocket clip, and screws are all titanium. Only things that aren't are the pivot and the blade.

Hope that helps

RHK has not yet made titanium frame nuts.

Aren't all nuts female? Or for that matter vice versa?

That's partly my ignorance as I put female screw in title not knowing the part was actually called a nut. Just figured it had a different name although if had truly thought about it before making title I very well could have just called it a frame cylinder nut.

You got a custom one from someone that replaced the 17-4ph (think that's correct steel numbers?)cylinder nuts with titanium ones. I have some of these coming but still would like the correct term for them as I'm going to experiment on quite a few of them.
