I really like the color of the ano and the tailcap of your Fenix. Nice! As far as the Quarks go, have you read the threads from Peter (4Sevens) the design of these lights? Sorry I can't give you any first hand info, but I can say a lot of thought went into the design of these.

I've had a Quark 123*2 for about 2 weeks now. Bought it in my search for a perfect carry light and have programmed Strobe and Max as the 2 modes. I use a fenix LOD AAA for utility lighting... So happy with it that I'm going to be selling my TK10, L1T, and 6P.

Awesome light. The L1D is discontinued but I managed to get a OD like yours before that happened! It's the best light I have had for the money and it has taken over all the pocket time from my other lights! The Quark lights seem like excellent lights. They combine all the best features of the major light brands out right now, IMO. I am eyeballin the AA2 tactical (with programmable 1st and 2nd modes).

i didnt know they had discontinued it, thats a shame. im glad i snagged one, used it for about an hour tonight, works great

Hey, chickeneye, nice light! I've had my L2D for a while now. It totally replaced everything else as my regular night carry. I thought about an L1D also but it was one or the other, and the L2D itself is pretty economical to run, and whle not as compact, fits in any pocket. The first set of batteries lasted a long time, months of use, and I usually run it on turbo (180 lumens on the L2D).

L1D is a righteous light - I've had one in my FLP for about 6 months now and have had nothing but good results.

I use lithium batteries in it - they are expensive but last quite a while and seem to give a little more consistency to the beam.

I opted for the black one.:D

Fenix lights are awesome ... I also have an L2D-Q5 and it's been my go to light for awhile.

Nice light. I haven't tried the Quark light, but you might want to check out the PD system lights from Nitecore.

Nice one....

I have the L2D Rebel and its great. I've now ordered the L1D body for it as I want to tote it all day.

BTW it runs perfectly on regular NiMh rechargeables - with all the modes.

I use a LD20 and its a great light. Max output is 180 lumens and has 6 modes, including SOS and strobe. Very well built and very reliable. IMHO Fenix is a good bang for the buck brand for LED flashlights

i have 3 (two for me and one for the fiance) of the Fenix's EO1. i love those lil flashlights. for 20hrs of 10 lumens from one AAA its hard to beat something that small.. we have them on our key chains and i have one i just slip in my pocket with i am around the house or fishing late

Guys, consider also using rechargeable NiMH batteries in these lights. They can be bought with a charger at Wal-mart or or Target.

I'm a big fan of Fenix, and have most of their lights in my arsenal. I was (and still am) a flashlight freak before I got into knives.

I've had a Quarks AA for about two months now. I've put it through a good EDC test. I think it is an awesome light. I really like the UI user interface. Started using 14500 recharable batts and they are really nice. I use it (and measure it against other lights) to spot deer in my back yard. The R2 Cree light is not just another small incremental step up over the Q5. The R2 has better throw and seems to produce less heat.
