Hey ya'll thought i'd post a couple of close up pics, shed light onto this mysterious free knife..
I bought this with a fenix l2t, included was a Heavy duty nylon sheath, lanyard, spare gaskets and tail cap cover. I actually don't care for knives much as i've got older, it was free with the torch i wanted so anything was a bonus, i am now a collector again.
The knife is stainless throughout, the fit and finish is very nice, it feels like a tactical military knife, it has a smooth lock and slide, it's got a nice deadened 'click' when it's locked out, nothing rattles, nothing moves, it's very sturdy and has this awesome composite handle material, it isnt plastic despite the pics going around make it out to be, it's the same stuff glocks are made of that almost fibrous abs stuff, it really does kick ass.
the brass bushing and high build quality of the knife are present, it's easy to see and feel, it's very lightweight considering how sturdy and precise it feels. It has 'fenix' etched by what I could guess as Laser engraving, as it is precise enough. The hex bolts holding together look quality and are all stainless, they do not look cheap or feel jagged or crappy, it's actually a suprisingly nice knife. I am comparing it to victorinox solo's and the swiss tech microplus next to it. I havent had a decent folder since the mid nineties, and then it was only excalibur available here, i think this has it over most knives i've played with. And i dont wank on about handmade carved out of a branch from a tree that was struck by lightning, i like cheap hard stuff, this wins my heart.
enjoy..
