Just got my Fenix L1D from the UPS guy today and my first impression is very good. I know there are already some LED flashlight threads but thought I'd add a few thoughts about this particular light.

Very compact and handy. This is the model that uses just one AA battery. I'm tired of paying for lithiums for my old surefire 6P anyway. It's a very bright, crystal clear beam and the buttcap switch makes it very easy to change between different brightness settings. Comes with a nice little belt pouch, lanyard, and even extra O-rings and a replacement tail switch. I thought the added extra parts were a nice touch. I picked this one up from Knifeworks.

I know it's not made in the US, but it seems to be a very well built product for a fairly reasonable price, considering other lights in it's class. If you are in the market for something similar, be sure to give this one a look.

Cheers

Nice. I've been wanting to grab one. I actually just ordered a Fenix L0D Rebel (the single AAA) for my EDC. It'll reside inside one of the side pockets of my Leatherman Charge sheath. Not as powerful as the L1D but as a compact easy to carry emergency light it should do quite nicely. Especially as I can easily carry a spare AAA in the sheath with it. Can't wait for the little guy to make it to my doorstep.
