Hello folks, I'm looking to replace/upgrade my cheap Duracell keychain light for something more robust and basically, I've narrowed it down to the Fenix LD01 and 4/7's Preon Revo.
Does anybody have experience with any of these? Am I overlooking another maker/model? Thanks.

I have the LD01, and won't leave home without it in my pocket. I use it more often then my pocket knife. It is a high quality piece of equipment, and every time without fail when I turn it on people are astonished at how bright it is on normal, then I turn it on high and really surprise them.

I like it so much that I am giving them as gifts to the people I care about as birthdays roll around, I can't afford the all at one time thing a Christmas.

The ReVO is even smaller than the LD01 and has a better keychain attachment point. If you want it to tailstand, the LD01 is better at that.

Also check out 4/7's Quark Mini series. I have the Mini AA and it is just a great light all around.

If you're willing to give up the special outputs (ie strobe, SOS, beacon) I'd highly recommend checking out the iTP A3 EOS Upgraded. It'll save you about 25-30 bucks depending on where you shop AND it's smaller length-wise and weight-wise I suppose. I'd call it a tie since you'd just be counting micro ounces at both their weight levels

2.6 inch length vs the ReVO's 2.8
.55 inch diameter vs the ReVO's .5
.32 oz vs the ReVO's .46

I've carried an LOD in my pocket for about, 2-3 years. I also have a Photon on my keychain. I go for the LOD more often. I need a backup LOD in basic black for the day when...
