Fenix P3D Reflector?

Was looking on the Lighthound website, ready to make the jump to Fenix P3D litespeed, and saw they have a model with an orange peel reflector.

Anyone know what that does to the light output or spread vs the regular reflector?

It creates a brighter spill area with more even beam. Decreases the throw though.

decreases it significantly or just a little? How uneven is the beam from the regular reflector?

I've never had one with the orange peel reflector before so I can't judge the throw impact. Probably varies a bit by maker too.

My understanding is that it's not that other beam pattern is bad, but some people want more sidespill. Sort of the difference between a spot and flood but probably not that big of a difference. Both can have good beams, just a different use of the light.
