Got my Fenix T1 today thanks to Gary Moore...........also had a Kershaw Tyrade in the package but that's another story for the Kershaw forum!

The T1 is BIG, as a matter of fact, had I known it was going to be as large as it is I might not have gone for it. But since I have it I'll not kick it out of the bed! It seems to be really well made, with the only thing I can see that I could fault is that the word Fenix is a little washed out, but otherwise it seems good. Switching from 60 lumens to 225 lumens is very simple with a twist of the head about 1/8th of a turn. I'll know more about it later tonight and will report accordingly!

Good pick up. Also, I would like to know if the bezel gets hot on the high setting. I wouldn't think so, with the larger amount of aluminum, but I am just curious.

I really like my T1, super-bright, with a very long range, the size is fine with me also. I rather like it big - more effective as an impact weapon.

My favorite thing about it is that it runs for 10 hours on normal, I had a Surefire G2 before this and the batteries just died out too quickly from every day use.

When you look at the comparitive beamshots and throw in the toughness factor...this light is hard to beat. I'd have one if I weren't trying to get away from CR123's and go to rechargeable 18650s (my M6 Guardian has a bad battery habit).

Your review was what actually led me to buy the Fenix T1 in the first place as a Christmas present for my dad. He then got me one for my B-Day!
Great light, and your review is really good, enough so that I bought it : )

Best,
-David

i still wish they would make a smaller version (like a E2e surefire).

they kind of do in the P3D series -

I own a T1, P3D, and about half a dozen other Fenix lights. Personal favor is the P1D Q5 (1xCR123 twisty, mind-blowing output).
