I just picked one of these up from going gear, dealer of BF. At 600 lumens I had to have it! Here are the stats from goinggear.com
Ordering off the website went very smoothly. I only could have desired a phone number. Also quick to ship just three days usps to me at no charge for shipping.

Features of Fenix TK40
# Cree MC-E LED with lifespan of 50,000 hours
# 2 modes with 8 types of output
# 4 types of primary output: Turbo (630 Lumens, 1Hrs ) Low (13 Lumens, 130Hrs ) Mid (93 Lumens, 11Hrs ) High (277 Lumens, 4.5Hrs )
# 4 types of strobe mode: Strobe-Slow flash-SOS-Fast flash
# Digitally regulated output - maintains constant brightness
# Uses eight 1.5V AA (Alkaline, Ni-MH) batteries ( 4 AA batteries is available in emergency)
# 208mm(Length) x 39.4mm(Diameter)
# Made of T6 aircraft-grade aluminum
# Durable Type III hard-anodized anti-abrasive finish
# 284 - gram Weight (excluding batteries)
# Waterproof to IPX-8 Standard
# Toughened ultra-clear glass lens with anti-reflective coating
# Push-button tailcap switch
# Capable of standing up securely on a flat surface to serve as a candle
# Included accessories: shoulder strap, two spare o-rings, and a rubber switch boot
I cannot run the fastest strobe mode for more then a few seconds as it makes me want to puke. Seriously. I think it would be a pretty good deterrent.
Switching modes I find a little tricky, I'm still practicing. The low mode is perfect for reading or just minimal navigating at night.
They include a shoulder harness of sorts. Kind of awkward, I think that aspect needs more thought.
I like it and think it is worth the dough. I expect that I will cull 2 or 3 other fenix lights and sell them as this can take their place.
Just FYI, I got sent a red filter instead of a disfuser tip that I ordered, contacted goinggear and they are sending the right item and I can keep the filter.
