The Fenix E20 is a decent light with good runtime, but I prefer the ITP C7T, simply because of the modular body system. If you want a 2AA light from the C7T, you could simply switch out the body tube with that of the C8T. Both Fenix and ITP are made in China, but from what I've seen, Fenix has a better fit and finish compared to ITP.
As far as how it compares to an NF-2, both the Fenix and the ITP are LEDs, rather than employing a xenon bulb, so it's a little hard to say how they compare. From what I've seen about the ruggedness of these lights, they're both pretty nice. I'd probably pick up the ITP C7R with the C8 and C9 body tubes, because I like having the ability to adjust brightness as well as use different battery configurations depending on my needs.
If you're looking for a budget AA light that can take a beating, I've been quite impressed with a Terralux Lightstar 220 EX. It has very thick aluminum walls and two modes, putting out roughly 220 lumens out the LED with very usable spill on high. The only issue I had with it is that the o-rings needed to be replaced and the threads could use a bit of lube. Besides that, it's been a great light.
