9.5 in. 3v alloy weight about 20 oz. overall length 15 in.will try chopper at ranch & report results.

What's the weight like?

Can you only get these direct or do dealers carry them?

In hand pics?

as far as i know the only source is the plant.between the micarta slabs is a thin cushion of some type rubbery material. i think it was added to damp vibration when chopping. actually i ca'nt beleive the small price for such a hi-performer. eric ferhman supposedly takes 3 days to do the heat treat. his company makes nozzles for hi-heat & hi-pressure spraying various particles. i really beleive he makes these knives as a hobby since price has remained the same [to my knowledge] since 2003.kdstrick did an extensive test last week & reported in testing section.

The handle color looks tan / brown instead of the dark green / black that I'm used to seeing.
Is this just the lighting?

handle is a tannish olive color. composition is still linen micarta. this is my 1st so i ca'nt compare to others for coloration.this weekend i hope to wring it out on mesquite. in texas we hate mesquite since cows kick dead branches into trails & roads causing flats. even lagre tractors hit on sides go flat. only economical aspect is cows & horses like the mesquite beans which drop sporadically.
