Has anyone seen the new Ferrari line of SAK knives?

I was at a show this week and they had a display that included a couple of this new line, great lookers. They are standard SAK interiors with great looking scales made from Ruthium a greyish bronze coloured metal fixed with screws and sculpted for comfortable grip.

These are real gent's knives.

did a search and all i found was porsche swiss army knives with a ruthenium finish...

is this just a SAK with a ferrari logo on it? or is it actually re engineered.

If they are using the Ferrari name and logo, I should assume that they are also getting a concommitant price for it. In that case, I do hope that they are using a better grade of steel in it than I have seen in their earlier models. Perhaps they are using that super metal, titanium, you know, like in that shaver add. :D :D

Sorry a bad case of brain fuzz, it was called a Porsche.

The sales rep was of little help, couldn't even tell me what the blade material was. Innards are standard SAK from Wenger but the scales are the exotic material and wonderful design for ergonomics.

With the exotic scales the suggested list price is high.

The Porsche knives look great, but they are really pricey compared to the standard Wenger models. You are paying a lot for the name.

I was considering purchasing a couple for the new store based on the looks alone, a SAK that would not look out of place with a business suit. They also had a multitool in the same handle material with a trick opening stud, a little large for a suit however..more briefcase size.

I guess it is the Canadian in me, I really prefer to handle the product before I buy.

One of the pawn/secondhand stores on Church Street that I haunt on a daily basis for watches had one in the window a few weeks ago. I'll see if it's still there, George.
