So I just got in my new Ferrum Forge Ferox, and I have noticed something that seems slightly wrong.
Overall, the knife in very very well-built, and well-designed, but the thing that concerns me is the lockbar, specifally how insanley strong it is. The lockbar cutout is extremely shallow, maybe less that 1/5 the thickness of the lockbar itself. The action is fine, and the lockbar is not SO strong that I cannot disengage the lock, but the force from the lock bar when the knife is closed is literally strong enough to effect the Ti slabs of the handles.
The handle slabs seem to be pushed outward slightly in the front, while being closer together in the back. I tried to capture it in a photo, but can't get it to show in a way that's easy to see at all. Basically it looks like the force of the lockbar is so much that it's flexing the handle scales slightly, and the pivot, stop-pin, and standoffs are being put under undue stress (I think).
I can't really tell how severe of an issue this is, or what the best method of handling it would be. The knife came to me brand new from a dealer, so this is not any issue that was caused by someone else. Any advice would be welcomed, and I will try to get a picture of the issue up that can show it well enough. I am at work at the moment, and don't have my hex tools, but I will have them once I get home.
Thanks in advance guys.
