I am picking out the tootsie rolls, bit o honeys and smaller than fun size Butterfingers......

I am leaving the smarties, starbursts and skittles for later.

My kids were pushing tootsies on me the night of Halloween, they know that is a weakness of mine.

I love me some sugar, but I dont go callin' her a tootsie roll.

This must be an American thing

:D

Served Frozen. Why Frozen? It's that cold up here 1/4 of the year. :D

I love fun size candy bars, I can eat the equivalent of 10 full size candy bars and not even realize it.

It depends, I love Butterfingers, KitKat, peanut Reeses Pieces, peanut M and M's. Chocolate and peanut butter is always a go for me. Super sweet candies, like Starbursts, Skittles etc.

But, as a diabetic, I can't go for that stuff anymore. I'm to the point now, that just the smell of candy will make me sick.

last night, I was rebeveling and having to set the knife down multiple times to open those bite size butterfingers, I should have opened them all and then lined them up and then sharpened. I ate way too much candy. It is hard to stop since they are all little bite size pieces. Marketed right I guess.

I ate all of those out of our bowl right after Halloween night. When the family found out - I left the Jolly Ranchers, which they hate - you'd have thought the gates of hell had been thrown open. My son got really mad; that little trout got 5-1/2 lbs. of candy (we weighed it) and he has an attitude with me because I ate his Butterfingers bites, out of our bowl. He told me next year, buy my own bag.

thx - cpr

screw eating the stuff i just ingest mass quanties of BEER OH GOD DO I LOVE BEER especially blue moon or guiness mmmmm

I can't eat most candy as I am allergic to corn syrup. It gives me hives.

However, I am a sucker for pure chocolate.
Trader Joe has some really really good chocolate.
Ghirardelli chocolate chips are awesome.

Mr Sniper, I like beer, too. But there is a whole other thread about beer. This thread is about sweets.

Skittles are the greatest thing ever. Used to eat 'em by the bag full (the family size bags). Developed an allergy to 'em a couple years ago and now a handful and I can't breathe. :(

My kids had about 10lbs between the 4 of them, so I took a tupperware bowl and picked through the next day. Snickers, Reese's cups, Baby Ruth, Butterfingers, OhHenry, M&Ms, Heath (my favorite!), and pretty much anything with chocolate. It barely put a dent in the pile. We ended up putting the remaining stuff in one of those huge popcorn tins from the Holidays, and IT DIDN'T ALL FIT!

Believe it or not, that thing is nearly empty, now. All the chocolate is gone, but there's still some good stuff left. We saw no generic candy from this neighborhood. We're definitely going back next year!

I'm sure I'm not the only one, but who drives their kids to the "rich" neighborhoods to go trick-or-treating?

This was the first year we actually went trick-or-treating, as we usually do something small with friends, or participate in the Halloween Alternative at our church.

I'm more a ice cream fan. Moose tracks, mackinaw island fudge, most stuff with candy bits in it...

Plus hot fudge.

Or butterscotch.

Or both!

I love almost all candy.

But Bit O' Honey. Wow. It does something to my brain that I can't explain. That stuff is simply heroin.

We drove up into the custom homes neighborhood. The kids got full size candy bars, mor often than naught. I kinda wanted to stay home and hand out candy, but had to go with the wife and kids, it was still fun, the kids enjoyed it. There were a few well done houses.
