As the title states, Let's see your festive fiddlebacks. I just got this one in the mail from Velosa. Scary sharp!

It sure is. I cried about missing the Duke for about an hour. Couldn't believe ithe Esquire was still available.

Nice score Tinbanger! I'm not really in to that handle material, nor that colour, but I couldn't stop looking at that one for some reason. I still don't understand why it didn't sell the first it was on the fleamarket, If you hadn't sold me the Buckeye burl one I would have bought that one myself.

Congrats

I wasn't sure about it either. But I had not ever used a scandi from Andy, and I really liked that it was 3/32". Now that I have it, I really like it. It's just a little hard for me to keep FB knives, because they are so nice I don't want to use them but I don't like having knives that are safe queens. It's a rough life!

My cell pics suck compared to you camera guys  but what the h*ll it's Christmas!

I really dig that Karda, & is that your new Kephart Hasco?

I hear ya, I can't stand owning good knives that don't get used neither except for a few I keep for sentimental reasons. Just use it man, that's what it was meant to do after all. The first scratch or ding will hurt a bit but after a while that will just become a memory that puts some character on the knife as well ime.

I really like 1/8th for a scandi knife myself but I am kind of curious about a how a slightly thinner stock performs in comparison.
Andy sure got the grind right by the way, I just sharpened mine for the first time and the bevels are actually completely flat, which is a first for me on a scandi. It's even sharper now than it already was after just ten minutes on a 4000 grit stone and few strokes on a courser one, it eats through wood like a horny beaver! lol

Ok, I finally took the time to take the shots I had ideas for and here they are! My Festive Fiddleback Fotos! Merry Christmas to all!

Merry Christmas from Sneaky Pete himself......at least that's what my wife calls me when she discovers that a new knife has followed me home
