Hi guys!
I just finished forging few puukko blades, what do you think?
Center core is silver steel (1,2% C, 0,2% Cr, 1,1% V, 1%W) sides are from iron.
Finish is very rough, surface of the primary bevel is flattened on glas on 180 grit, dipped in the ferric chloride and wire brushed. Angle of primary is around 13 degrees and secondary about 30 (eyeballed).... thin workers.
They are all around 110 x 4,5-4,9 x 24 mm
It was time consuming to leave just a bit of that forge finish, not too much not too little, but I think it was worthed.
