I'm new here. . .
Got my first TWO busse coupla days ago, the near mint Basic 9 and the used Public Defender.

Questions:

How does the penetrator tip works?
This tip also in the Active Duty and Mean Street?
Where should I get the nice kydex sheath for the PD?

Thanks!
;)

For a kydex sheath I would check out Okuden, he makes some great sheaths, I live by him and could let him use my PD to make a sheath from if you wanted.

the basic idea behind a swedge that runs to the tip is to create a better penetrating geometry - a psuedo dagger. with the penetrator tip, it removes the sharp top corners from the tip to allow for a smoother entry of the first couple of millimeters. it doesnt change the pentrating properties as much as a full swedge would, but it maintains all of the strength of the original geometry while helping out penetration a little.

i dont think its present on the active duties, more often than not its used on thicker blades that suffer from poor penetration due to their thickness behind the tip.
