Hey all,
I just wanted to share a few pics from today's outing to hightop mountain in shennandoah national park. Now that I'm (pretty much) off of doctor's orders from my recent bicep surgery I was chomping at the bit to get out in the backcountry! Weather was 38 sunny and conditions were clear! Big props to the Ms. for making the trip as the trail was quite icy and technical today -- none the less, we had a blast! One of my favorite bushfingers (thanks Shane!) tagged along for the ride; unfortunately, since this was a fast & light trip, I didn't really get a chance to use her. Anyways, enjoy the pics & happy sunday!

Sounds like you guys need to get some spikes for those hiking boots. My wife does about 5 miles every day in the winter, wind, rain, snow, ice, with our Mastiff. She uses some rubber things that go over her boots with chains and spikes going under the soles and heel. They work very well for her. The deer ticks here are terrible, so in the spring, summer and fall, she walks the road. Snow shoes when the snow is significant.

Thanks for the pictures. Beautiful day in the woods.

Cool pics man, looks like a really fun place to explore! Man, I will be so glad to actually be able to see the ground again! I haven't seen the grass in my yard or leaves in the woods, since Thanksgiving.

Thanks wjt! Thanks for sharing. Looks like a great place to play in.

Thanks for the feedback guys-- summit pics came out crappy due to (continuing) issues with my cell phone's camera light sensor. Anyways, I'm looking forward to posting some pic/video reviews shortly for each piece in my collection

That is a happy looking Bushfinger!

Looks like a great hike! I usually stick with the central region and in much fairer weather LOL. Thanks for the pictures. It's a beautiful area.

KephaC, I was wearing your tuxedo EDCII all weekend while making firewood. It did not come out of the sheath, but it was at the ready. The chainsaw and the wood splitter got all of the attention this weekend.

Thanks -- I tore my distal bicep working out (doh!); cool part is that its reattached and I'm back on track. I've got 3 weeks until im cleared for 100% ROM and load, so... almost there!

Much thanks -- being pretty close to the park, I was running out of excuses to get outside!

That's awesome that it's almost better. I tore mine a while back moving pump staging at work. Took a full year to regain the strength. 100% now though as I'm sure yours will be soon.
