hey RR,

I really like that first picture -don't know why, especially, but it really speaks to me for some reason. Maybe I just gotta get out. :o

I want you to go in the bathroom and WASH YOUR MOUTH OUT WITH SOAP, YOUNG MAN!!!

I hope the child care issue has resolved itself.

Anyway, thanks for sharing, RR.

Doc

great stuff RR.. looks like a nice relaxing day... i like the looks of that GEC knife too.. i had one for a while, but ended up giving it to a friend..

good stuff man. its good to see you posting here again. i am an avide viewer of your youtube channel. What is the two bladed folder you have there. it looks like an interesting way to get two different grinds out of the same knife. i like it.

You know, I thought the same thing. I wanted to walk right into the picture...

Thanks for the Compliments Guys.... Doc I was seeking out patches of grass like that to make my birds nest...

The folding knife is a GEC pioneer it's awesome but little big...

I've been using the Green River knife for about 2 weeks now and have determined That I still like my mora better.. Go figure.

and I love the apeal of trad knives but at the end of the day it's hard to beat the practicality of a multitool or a Sak.

Strewth, that looks like something made from rice vegetarians get offered up here as a low cal snack. No accounting for taste I guess. More seriously, I think I'm going to have to peg that as a -1.

Interesting comments on traditional vs SAK / Multitool when it comes to actual practical use. What exactly are you preferring about the Mora over that traditional?

Baldtaco...I made a # of Bowdrill sets throughout the day..and wore down about 3 spindles Which needed to be repointed several times....The grind on that trad pattern is a full flat and the Blade is thin.. It is a great slicer.. But it takes about twice the time an effort to shape wood with than a Mora... as far as the trad patterns go. Allot of them are really works f functional art... One of the appeals most folk tout about them is that the majority of them have multiple blades.. (true enough) buit a basic sak or a LM wave have 2 blades as well.. as well as a saw and an assortment of other tools..
The Trap Slipjoint patterns.. are very pocket friendly great too look at and excellent for very detailed carving. However when drilling out my sockets in the fire board i was very aware of the potential for the blade to fold.. also when cutting the notch, the advantage of a saw is a real perk.
