Just returned from a backpacking trip in the Olympic Mtns. Unfortunately my camera crapped out on day two so I couldn't go into the true depth of my 7 day solo excursion. The knives were brand new at the time the pics were taken. By the end of the trip they looked like they had been through WW2. I must say I am thoroughly impressed with their overall performance. They excelled as the tools in which they were designed to be used as. This is all I ask of my knives. Thank you RAT Cutlery for keeping simplicity in mind.

No trails for miles. Good old-fashioned map+compass.

Awesome

You're a lucky dog! That is beautiful! No trails, only skills, you gotta love it! Glad you had fun, and came home safe.

BTW: How'd that FatBoy work out for ya? I found mine to be a little small, but if there is a main pack, it's great for scouts.

Great pictures. The Izula and a RC-6 seem like a excellent combo, two extremes to cover every task.
How is the Maxpedition gear working for you?

I really dig the Fatboy. Yes I carry a large backpack as well. I just strap it over my main pack so it's within reach while I'm trekking. It holds my general purpose tools (including the Izula) and other essential wilderness gear. That way I have easy access to smaller items in a pinch and don't have to take my big pack off and sort . It's on me at all times in the backcountry.

Nice photos!

I spent about a year there all over the state. Loved it.

Great pics s500yards and just some beautiful countryside :thumbup:.

Sjvincent, it was the Hoh river. Good eye. About two miles in you're up to your knees in snow. It should melt soon enough though. Weather's been heatin up.

Beautiful. Really make me think I need an RC-6...

I think I need an RC-6.
