I figure this is probably the best place to post these. We had a little Hammer-in just NW of Chicago. Was a fun day,(5 degrees(I always seem to plan em on the hottest days)and a friend showed up with some of his big toys. These were all show stoppers.First up is the world's largest anvil..weighing in at 5300 lbs.!!From left to right standing:Art Beyda,Jim Smyth,Brent Cramer,Ron Rosenbaugh, yours truly,Bob Rossdeutscher,Rob Nevling,George Werth. And kneeling from left to right is Brent Scherman,Jerry Rados, and Karl Anderson...Thanks to all of you guys for making it a great day!

As I said, it was a Hammer-in...Here's a few shots of Bob forging a boar spear from an old truck spring...quite an interesting piece,I didn't get shots of it when he finished up(yet),but here's the in progress ones I got:

Here in Oz, we keep getting told they make things big in Texas - I'll have to factor Illinois into that equation now.

Absolutely superb craftsmanship in those items and it's easy to tell that those involved consider it a labour of love (or is that an obsession).

I couldn't see a holster on Mark Nevling's belt either. Did he just carry his "concealable handgun" stuffed down the front of his jeans?

Would just love to see any other pics of these type of events. Well done to all involved.

We can discuss the legality of this one.

Of course it's a switchblade, but can we call it a knife?
