I am doing my first mosaic damascus, and have the final pattern completed, and now I just need to stack it to get the pattern out.
I was thinking of doing the "ferry flip" or tile method. What angle should I cut my steel at? I have heard both 45 or 35 degrees.
Second, the only tools I have for cutting the steel are a chop saw and a porta-band. I worry about being able to get the angles exactly right with the porta-band, but the chop saw waste a lot more metal. Which would you use, (or would it be worth it to try and beg the use of someone with real band saw.)
