Few things my Izula can do

Today my father in law came home with some wooden poles 'bout 10 feet long and 2 inches thick which he meant as support for our strawberries. Anyway, we got to work and he prepared various cutting tools, including a hatchet. Told him to put those away and tool out the Izula from my belt. He's really not a knife person and of course he laughed at me. After I got the work done I found out I have to buy one for him too. :D Imagine that: a bookkeeper with an Izula on his belt. Still cuts my favorite smoked pork like butter. ;)

Nice story and great pics. I am finally getting ready to order a pair of Izulas tomorrow - OD for me and Pink for the wifey. Can't wait.

That smoked pork looks yummy too!

actually, some time ago bookkeeper all had some pen knife, cause in those days bookkeeping was done with ink and paper, so from time to time they had to scratch some wrong number away. And before that they had to have a sharp knife to cut feathers to write with. Bookkeepers just have to have a knife (though most of them don't know that).

You're right. I can still remember from my very early school years, we used ink pens and always had half a razor blade to scratch the spelling mistakes. Great times back then! Nowadays I think a parent might get arrested for sending a kid to school with a razor blade. :D

cool little story
Thanks Tony! Actually, the story is a little longer, I left out the part where I had to show him the Rat Cutlery site and the photo thread on this forum. He settled for a tan Izula only he wants it wrapped with leather lace. I was going to order the RC 3 MIL anyway......more work for Derrick at KSF I guess. :D

Cool stuff. That pork looks delicious. I'm gonna order an OD Izula later this week. I can't wait.

always great to see people use their toys. How did the knife feel in yor hand carving? Nice and comfortable?

Nice. I'm getting an Izula itch. Did your wrap get loose after all that work?
Not a bit, although my wrap is not perfect! Gonna try some leather lace just to see how it feels.

Felt great! Even better than my Bark River Aurora. I was expecting my arm and palm to be sore due to the dimensions but no, everything went nice and easy.

Great story and nice photos. I keep switching between desiring an Izula and an RC-4. This thread doesn't help!

LOL!
