Way back in 2007, fewpop (Ford) posted a picture of a little Ryan Whittemore fixed blade.

In post number 13 of that thread, I said "I really like that one, Ford. There is just something about it that appeals to me. The folksy simplicity maybe . I don't know. I guess I don't have to have the words as to why, I just like it."

Here we are two years later and I had completely forgotten all about it. So I walk out to the mailbox today and there is an unexpected box from Ford. That very same Whittemore was in the box.

Mister Fewpop is a prince among men....and Ryan Whittemore makes a nice little knife.

Congrats, Rob. A fine gift given to a fine fellow. It don't get much better or folksy than that!!!

Good for you brother Ford!

Congrats on a fine knife Rob. Hard to find a better guy on BF than Ford. I wonder if he remembers me saying how much I like Scagel knives in previous emails? Going to go check my mailbox now...

I know I mentioned Bose knives to him, Mike...come to think of it... :p

Ya gotta love this place and it's cast of characters.

Real nice gift, Ford! What a thoughtful guy!
Rob gave me my first welcome on this forum, and helped me with the picture posting process. Two of the pillars of our community right here!

Pardon my french, but what my buddy Rob left out of the mailbox story was that when I got home from work today and went to get my mail, I found this really sweet peach of a knife in the mailbox direct from Rob in Tejas.

Ya' gotta' love this place and I am most thankful for the good people I have been privileged to meet here in the traditional forum. You folks are the best of the bee's knees. :)

p.s. - I intended to eat this peach right after I took the picture, but I went inside for about 30 seconds to put my camera up and my young dog Boone found half the peach...I got the other half and the knife, so I win. :D
