Hi All you Friction folder knuts! Or any knife knut.
Re: Carrying your FF, do you pouch or pocket them? I'm getting one from Belgium. Tnx!!

I carry mine (made by me) in my front pocket. The flipper/tang doesnt stick out very far from the front of the body of the knife on the ones i make and the blade sits deep into the body.

Ive had no problems with them opening in my pocket. Which is the only reason i would want to carry them in a pouch or sheath.

I've had too many lockbacks and linerlocks open in my front pocket to be comfortable with a friction folder loose in my pocket. I have a Jeff Goldberg designed, ordered and sold Special Factory Order hamaguchi (sp?) 3" with a three layer blade/V-1 core and cocobola handles by IC-Cutlery of Japan. I have it in a small sheath attached to a cord attached to my belt. The knife has a lanyard and when I pull on it the sheath comes out of my pocket, stops with the cord attached to my belt and the knife slips out. I also have the pivot pin fairly tight. It got loose within a year, but a short tap with a hammer on the anvil of a vise tightened it up quick.

Pocket for me, even my Opinel. When I finish my homemade friction folder (hopefully soon), that'll be pouch due to its size, as it's a sodbuster blade in a Remington Bullet body.

I can do of the pre-HT blade, but the rest as yet is naught but a dummy backspring. It'll be oak grips and brass pins, with a 5/16" Corby as the pivot.
