I gave the fatty a makeover. It isn't perfect, but it sure chops well.

Nice! I wanna do something like this do my own FFBM.. Not sure where to start though:P

Nice convex job HD...not only does she look great but I bet she bites good too ;).

Nice looking work indeed. This is not a negative comment but something looks a bit weird towards the front.

Did you use a paint stripper then a sandpaper 'flapper' wheel to remove the grind marks etc then the old mouse pad and wet and dry paper?

Thanks guys. It took me a while, but she chops better. Some days I wish I had something bigger than a 1" x 42" sander.

No, I used a belt sander. It took me hours even with that. As for the front, I just don't know exactly what you mean. That's how it came out. When I ground out the saber grind I just continued a taper to the point. Here are some other pictures of the blade.

Ahh this pic sorts out the weird look I felt the tip had. Must just be the way I was reading the previous pics.

Now would you consider putting your own swedge on it? I really like the swedge on the CGFBM and think the FFBMs I have seen with it look great.

A swedge makes sense to me on a fighter, but unless you are Conan, the FFBM is a bit heavy for a fighter. It is more of a chopper and wood splitter. I might need to bang on the blade and a swedge would just cut my baton.

Oh the grinder is a Kalamazoo.
