This is a monster.....:D

Yep, she is a monster of a chopper alright. Those FBMs are my favorite all around choppers. Now take her out and beat her :D

Those mags are just brutal on such thick INFI. You guys must all be Heavy's size.:D

Personally I like my FBMs with standard micarta handles. The only exception is the MAG handle anorexic that I have. I only put MAGs on that one because I tapered the tang on it.

BantheMan, got any pics of grip-thinnings you've done?

Not exactly grip thinning....but....it is knife thinning and slightly tapered tang.
Here is a pic of the FABM handle next to a factory FBMLE. I am still trying to fine tune the handle thickness as I use it a bit more. I may remove a bit more material from the swells.

Congratulations on your new mistress. :D

I'd have to say that I prefer standard over mags on the FFBM but the mags do not feel bad at all.

Ban...so you actually tapered the tang? Interesting. I don't know that I'd want that done to my FBMLE, though...I just want the handles at about standard thickness...

Hey Tony...go out and abuse that thing, then get us more pics. MORE PICS!!!:D

I will...I just got the Beast a few days ago....I just learned my 2nd Chopweiler is waiting at the PO box for me...Green w/G10 black Scales....

The standard thickness sage scales on my Ban modified FFBM feel very nice. I think it wound up about 0.290" thick at the ricasso but the tang is also tapered. A full LE/FFBM thickness with standard scales works well for me.
