If by getting the edge you mean sharpening, then typically no. Now, if you use a grinder and get the blade red hot then you are probably out of luck... Or if you are like NOZH2002 and take the edge angle way too thin...

But normal sharpening is covered.

Kirk, you should send all your questions and some pics to Jerry, Amy or Garth at BusseCombat, and get the answers straight from them. The rest of us will be speculating.

thing is I haven't bought it yet,the blade is on bladeforums now",FFBM LE with the ban touch".just trying to cover my bases:)Thanks again everyone for all your help:thumbup:

I can't say about the warranty, but I can say from all I know, if it's been Banned, it's a primo job. He's one of the best.

If the warranty issue is the only thing that is bothering you I would call the shop as Jason suggest.
Call now, and if you like what you here buy it today.

I do feel the edge won't be covered since power tools were used. That being said, Ban is the Man, and I don't think you would ever have an edge problem.
But I would still call Busse if you want a 100% correct answer.

Zing.:D

I would be very hesitant to alter the edge of an Le drastically. A CG is a different story though... IMO of course. Ceramic steel and a strop, or send in to have Garth take a look at it.

Edit: I just saw your second post, Ban does very good work, if the price is right, go for it.

if you are really all that worried about it, just get a factory spec FBM LE, they they are pretty sharp from the factory and covered 100% right from Busse. It'd be less expensive then to get it and send in to Garth to look at and pay for the shipping back...
