FFG Asset anyone?? (WIP Thread)

Well, today I was bored and said to myself, "Hey, I want to regrind a knife" The Asset picked the short straw..........Poor Asset. I'll be updating this thread as progress is made.

30 minutes in...




1 hour in...




2 hours in...



(sorry for the bad pics, my house has terrible lighting)

There is this crazy invention called a "belt sander". Harbor Freight has them cheap.
 
..guess I'm guilty of using the "inexpensive and inconvenient" method of getting things done, too. Can't wait to see the finished product! :thumbup:
 
It appears this project is a form of anger management. At least it would be for me. :thumbup:

Nice bro. I imagine after you finish that one, you'll probably want to do some more. That's how regrinding was with me, at least.

I decided to give myself the day off, so I don't go insane. :p
 
I will be surprised if that diamond stone will make it through both sides. Ive heard they are great for putting a toothy edge on a knife but that they dont last a very long time. I can only imagine regrinding an entire blade from a hollow grind to a FFG. You sir have patience and determination that should be admired. Or laughed at, lol.
 
The next thing you know, some kid around here will try to chop down a tree with a Skyline...:p
