This is prolly not the most unbiased place to ask this question, but the G10 VG10 Endura 4 is being offered for $70 bucks.

At that price, it's almost irresistable.

How are owner of this knife liking the blade? The VG10 steel? Are there any downsides to the knife?

Aside from having to grind the blade down to a point, I've had no problems with mine. $70 sounds like a good price.

Mr. Curmudgeon, I'm sorry, I'm a little thick. "Aside from having to grind the blade down to a point" Did a joke go over my head?

he means a full-on needle point like the older models, as opposed to the newer ones which have a fuller tip for strength but are less pointy.

He doesn't like the "reinforced tips" of the D4s and E4s (and the Police 3, for that matter), so he grinds them down to give them that sharp point that they deserve.

Ok, thanks FF5, I actually prefer the less-pointed version, so no worries there. 'Preciate it man!

It's an awesome knife. I've had one for awhile but had to pick up another when they went on sale.

The deed is done. Now it's up to UPS to deliver the goods. (Sorry USPS, but I prefer private enterprise to government control!)

Nice buy you should be very satisfied with the grippy g10 and the slicing/cutting of the blade, oh yeah vg10 holds an awesome edge and is pretty easy to sharpen/touch up :p

Had to grab a second one at these blow out prices. I understand these are being discontinued for 2010 and Spyderco will introduce an FFG Endura with FRN handles in a number of colors still with VG-10. I love that idea but snagging the G-10 for < $70 & free shipping is too good to pass up.

I almost bought it for 69 today... but I am going to rely on the feeling that there will be FFG FRN Enduras soon.... Or maybe its because I dont have the money for one right now :)

I had to get one at this price. My wish is for a similar deal on the G-10 Delica. I'd get a few of them for sure, just not at $100 a piece. I've gone way over my knife budget lately, but the year end / model end deals are just too good.

I got one elsewhere for $67 shipped. Not that I needed one, because I have about 3 other Enduras and and waiting on a SE Endura. But I just want to see how the G-10 Endura fits in to the Endura - Police continuum.

Are there any green G10 ZDP189 Enduras out there?

Yes, but they've all been Frankenspydered together.

And yes, the others are correct about what my first post meant. If I want a round tip, I'll get out a butter knife. I hate the "reinforced points" they've been putting on these the last few years. I understand the why of it, but I still don't like it.

LOL you and me both, sir

Where did you get it????

They have a rule against bargain spotting. Gets the thread closed. One way to keep on top of dealer specials is to keep track of things in the Dealer section of the Exchange.

Google also works remarkably well on these hot specials.
