How would I sharpen a FFG on the EPA assuming I'm laying it FFG flat on the table? Would I make the angle a lot smaller than the indicators on the sharpener?

Thanks.

No, you increase the angle if all you have is the FFG portion to lay on the table.

Unless you're asking if it will make the actual angle smaller than the listed angle, then the answer is yes.

thats correct if you know the angle of the main grind.

if you have a ricasso, rest the blade on it, grind a bevel at the angle you want (say 15°) then lay the blade flat on the grind and match the 15° bevel with some black marker.

typically the angle change will be around 3° iirc. meaning that if you want 15° you'll have to set your arm at 18° ... that true on a spydie milie iirc again, not 100% sure of the numbers.
