FFG Pacific Salt?

I have been a member of Blade for 10 years+ and have been a Spyderco fan since I purchased my first in 1988.

I don't post very often and haven't been lurking on the Spydie board in a long time. My question may have been asked/answered previously so don't kick me too hard if so.

Like the title states, is it possible to have a full flat grind in H1 steel? I have an older riveted Pacific Salt that I use as my surf fishing knife, but would really love the slimmer profile an FFG blade offers for some of the bait cleaning/cutting chores I do. An FFG Aqua Salt would be just about perfect if anyone was asking.

Thanks in advance.

Yes you can regrind it or send it to someone like Big Chris. I believe the reason Spyderco gives for not offering FFG H1 is that the steel work hardens during grinding. With a hollow grind both sides are ground at the same time. With a flat grind, the sides are done alternately and this caused more wear on their belts.
That said, I had Big Chris regrind my Pacific Salt and the steel seems no harder. It does slice a lot better though.
