FGX Desperado

I'm not a big fan of the FGX line . They just won't take a very sharp edge so you are reduced to mainly stabbing . It still a lethal weapon in that regard , so you have the same legal liabilities . I'd rather have something with a nice sharp edge for slashing as well .

To risk using one to bypass a metal detector to penetrate a security zone in the post 9/11 world is unwise .

If I had to choose one for SD, it would be the stabbyist profile . Maybe the Taipan or push dagger ?

They could bring back the real steel model Desperado and I'd want one for sure !:thumbsup::thumbsup:

I have most of the current FGX models. The two I like most are the Tanto and the Push Knife. They are very sturdy and would work well for intended purpose. The FGX Tai Pan is fairly thin and fragile by comparison. If they made a Desperado I think a serrated edge would be best.

I purchased several of the steel models when they went on clearance a few years ago but would welcome a reintroduction if it ever happens.

Serrations would definitely help . Even when fairly dull they can still do damage by tearing and ripping .

The FGX Skean Dhu has serrations IIRC ?
